It seems like only yesterday that the two women behind The LINK discussed a rather radical proposition over a gin and tonic (or two!). Moira Hesketh and Dawn Williams had built successful careers for themselves in local newspaper advertising and here they were talking about taking the biggest risk of their lives. After several meetings and considerable thought and planning, they turned their hopes and ambitions into reality....and The LINK was born!

And the rest, as they say, is history...The LINK was launched in July 2006 and has gone from strength to strength ever since. It started off with 8,000 copies being distributed free throughout the West Derby and Croxteth Park area and, in no time at all, Moira and Dawn increased their commitment by increasing the distribution to 12,000 copies each month. In August 2007, the South Liverpool LINK was launched and we are delighted to report that this also has gone from strength to strength with a distribution of 19,000 copies each month. The LINK is an INDEPENDENT, EFFECTIVE AND AFFORDABLE advertising platform.

Moira and Dawn are the first to acknowledge that the success of The LINK is down to you - the reader and the advertiser: "We understand the need for a publication to become part of the very fabric of the area it serves. The LINK is being read throughout the month it is delivered, which means so much for the advertisers and readers alike and we can't thank all of you enough for having faith in our ideas."

The pair have produced a publication which readers and advertisers like. It takes guts, determination and a good product to compete successfully in the cut-throat publishing world!
