WEST DERBY CHRISTMAS TREE SWITCH ON

The Christmas Tree lights will be switched on outside St. Mary’s Church in the heart of West Derby Village at 3.40pm on Friday 8th December. St Mary’s School Choir will be singing; hand bells, free refreshments, sweets for the children and Santa will be visiting!  Get into the festive spirit and don’t miss this great community event.

DEYSBROOK COMMUNITY CENTRE CHRISTMAS FAIR

THE ROYAL SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND – CHRISTMAS FAIR

The Royal School For The Blind, Wavertree, L15 6TQ, are hosting a Christmas Fair on Saturday 2nd December from 10am until 4pm. There will be a sensory grotto and a visit from Father Christmas with games and pocket money stalls in the school gym. As well as this, there is a vintage and crafts fair situated in the school hall with over 20 different stalls for you to complete your present lists. Outside will be a farmer’s market of local producers and after all that you can relax in the café for coffee and mince pies.

Hope University Christmas Concert

Liverpool Hope University’s South Liverpool Orchestra have arranged a Christmas Concert on Tuesday 5th December at 8pm in Hope University Chapel, Hope Park, L16 9JD.  Tickets are only £4 on the door including a Christmas buffet.  Programme includes Lehar’s Gold and Silver Waltz, Strauss’ Radetzky March, Jingle Bells and sing-along Christmas carols.

 

DIXIELAND JAZZ CONCERT

Come and join the Savoy Jazzmen  in concert in the Sefton Park Palm House on Tuesday 5th December between 2  - 4 p.m. There is an admission charge of £6.00 which includes tea or coffee and a slice of cake. GRASSENDALE FLOWER ARRANGEMENT SOCIETY

Meeting on Thursday December 14th 2017 when Karen Schofield from Preston will give a demonstration called “The Key to Christmas”.

The Arts Society Liverpool

Do you love the arts?. We provide nine interesting lectures per year, delivered by expert speakers.

HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE WORKPLACE CHOIR

Do you work in health or social care in Liverpool? There is a friendly choir for you to join and sing in two charity Christmas concerts. ALZHEIMER’S SOCIETY 

Have several support groups in Prescot, Halewood, Huyton and Kirkby for people living with dementia and their carers. The groups provide activities and an opportunity to meet other families with caring responsibilities.  There is no charge to attend and refreshments are provided. Please contact us on 426 4433.

 

ACTIVITY HUB

Are you at a loose end on a Tuesday morning?  If so come along to Long Lane Church, off Mill Lane, Wavertree, 11am till 1pm.  We have board games, crochet, knitting, card making, gardening and church maintenance (if you are handy). Refreshments provided £1.  All welcome.
